The Shabka Team is preparing a new series of interviews for you. This time, the focus will be on a country in South East Europe: Kosovo.
Kosovo is facing a special situation with persistent struggles. Therefore, we will take a closer look on the country 20 years after the war in 1999. Kosovo is a multifaceted country and should clearly not be reduced to recent war alone. We want to look beyond this event and ask ourselves, how is Kosovo doing These Days?
Against this background, for the Conflict Peace and Democracy Policy Blog Shabka identified the following topics:
- Peacebuilding
- Press & Media
- Youth & Economy
- EU integration
- Environment & Education
- Minority Issues
- Art & Culture
- Religion
Our aspiration
The eight mentioned topics are going to illustrate the state of Kosovo’s society. The aim of the Policy Blog is to capture a diverse range of voices from and about Kosovo. Thereby, we are able to provide recommendations for the broad field of policy making: from engagement of grassroots movements to decision-making by government officials. With this intention, we would like to offer knowledge and facilitate an open dialogue with policy actors from diverse perspectives and expertise from all various fields of science.
With expert interviews as well as brief articles this project will outline an overview of the condition and the progress which has been made in Kosovo in the past years. Among all topics, gender will be a cross-cutting issue.
The aim of this interviews series is to be able to mention several measures and requirements on a political as well as social level.
Embark on an exciting voyage through the country with us and do not miss the launch on 1th August 2019.
And… it is still time to participate!
