Shabkas Director Lukas Wank had the great pleasure to meet with Ivo Daalder, the president of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and Charles Rice, a research associate with the Councils Global Cities team in their offices in Chicago in March 2019.
The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is an independent, nonpartisan membership organization that provides insight – and influences the public discourse – on critical global issues. The Council is committed to bringing clarity and offering solutions to issues that transcend borders and transform how people, business, and governments engage the world.
Due to similar approaches to global issues, Shabka and the Council discussed a wide range of topics such as the future of trade, developments in the European Union, geostrategic trends, the Councils Global Cities program and its membership structure.
