We proudly present you the CPD Policy Blog, our newest project. After months of preparations, the Blog was finally launched at the beginning of April as a joint project between Shabka, the University of Graz, and the Austrian Conflict, Peace, and Democracy Cluster. The CPD Policy Blog creates a bridge between research and politics, between academia and policy. In doing so, the project connects the dots. It contributes to social progress. It enables sustainable politics. It thinks ahead.
Vision
The Blog tackles challenges and identifies opportunities in policy making: from engagement of grassroots movements to decision-making by high-ranking government officials. Its short but concise contributions provide highly accessible and comprehensive information for actors in this broad field. Against that background, the CPD Policy Blog analyses formations of violence and conflicts in order to describe strategies that resolve those in the short, medium and long term.
Outreach
Providing accessible inputs to enable informed political decisions.
Policy
Infusing policy with peace, conflict, and democracy studies expertise.
Sustainability
Contributing to sustainable political and social progress.
